VISUALIZING PRACTICE

This grant was provided in 2012 to us by the Boston Architectural College to create a method of delivering content related to the professional practice of architecture through graphics. The exploration consisted of reviewing current publications on architectural practice and assessing the ways in which this information was disseminated. At the end of a 6 month process, the research was presented in this pamphlet which starts to visualize marketing and project delivery though a mapping of the important elements showing an inter-connectivity to all aspects of practice.

CHANGE ORDER: THE FUTURE OF DESIGN LEARNING

Student Board for exhibition. Original size 10' wide by 6' tall.

In the Fall of 2011, we were fortunate to be part of Change Order: The Futures of Design Learning with Denise as a Research Team Leader and Mike as a Curator and Conference Organizer. As part of this work, we led a group of 11 BAC students with two other faculty in researching the issues which defined possible future for design education. The work was collated and synthesized in two major graphic pieces which formed the foundation of the exhibit held in conjunction with this conference.
