12 ARROW STREET
12 Arrow Street was the design for an interior fit-out for offices for eight psychologists in Harvard Square, Cambridge. The Doctors had been in their former space for twenty-five years and wanted to capture the feeling of their old space, but update it to reflect their own changes and growth. Meander Studio worked to capture the groups sense of style, work on an aggressive time schedule, create acoustical separations between spaces and navigate a tricky HVAC system. The challenge was to transform this historic mill building space into an inviting and comfortable space that be therapeutic for the clients. It was important that the space not feel like a medical office but rather reflect the informal relationships between the practitioners and patients.
